Data administrator

The Administrator, i.e. the entity who decides what personal data will be processed, for what purpose and how it will be processed, is the National Museum in Gdańsk (Muzeum Narodowe w Gdańsku) with its registered office at: ul. Toruńska 1, 80-822 Gdańsk, e-mail: info@mng.gda.pl.

Reason for data processing

The reason for the processing of your personal data is to document and promote public events, such as curator tours, previews, workshops and concerts that take place at the National Museum in Gdańsk’s Departments.

Legal basis for the data processing

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is Art. 6(1a) of the GDPR, i.e. consent expressed by the informed participation in the above events. The consent also includes the uploading of pictures to the website of the National Museum of Gdańsk and its social media. Providing personal data whose processing is based on the consent of the person is not mandatory.

Data retention period

Your personal data will be stored until you withdraw your consent to the processing of the data and for 6 months after this period for archival purposes and/or to secure possible claims.

Data recipients

The recipients of your data shall be entities authorised to have data disclosed to them in accordance with the provisions of the law. Public bodies that may receive personal data for legal proceedings are not deemed to be recipients. Personal data may also be entrusted to entities who perform services for the Administrator.

Rights of persons

You have the right to: the protection of your personal data, to request access to it, copy and correct it, delete it  and/or limit its processing by bringing a complaint to the President of the Office for the Protection of Personal Data (PUODO). Furthermore, in respect of the data processed based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent by sending an appropriate request to our e-mail or postal address. The result of the withdrawal of consent shall be that we cannot process this data.
